The Value of a Blueprint and Statements of Intent
Quite often despite one being positive and full of good intentions for the day ahead, unless you have an overall blueprint containing goals and dreams, with daily statements of intent, you can end up going around in circles, and really not achieving much by the end of the day.
It is an all too common tendency to focus on too many things and trying to get too many things accomplished in a single day, with the resulting factor that you feel inadequate and a failure, given that you don’t accomplish much and seem to be very much in a spin or tizz, chasing your tail.
The first task, just like building a house is to create a blueprint or plan outlining what you want to achieve in life and what ventures to focus on in order to get there. Preferably your dream job or business venture should revolve around your passions, interests and hobbies.
By doing this, it will not seem like work and you will enjoy every minute of your life, as well as increasing exponentially your chance of future success, fulfillment and self-esteem.
Outlining short term and long term targets should help to keep you focused and on track.
Then you need daily statements of intent, which you can think about and create the previous night, with regards to what are the most important things that you should be trying to accomplish the following day, which will compliment your dreams and goals.
Don’t try and do too much in a single day and certainly try and enjoy the challenges, goals and indeed every minute of each day.
By having a few daily statements of intent, this will keep you focused on the most important tasks, and importantly help to prevent you being distracted, deviating from your goals, possibly wasting time on social media or wasting time talking to negative people.
As you take this approach on a daily, weekly basis, you will no doubt be surprised how much more you accomplish, and how much better you feel about your endeavours, and indeed life in general.
