Learning From Past Mistakes!

There is only one way that the past can be constructive; and that is by calmly analyzing our past mistakes and profiting by them – and forgetting them.

Don’t cry over spilt milk!

Such hackneyed proverbs contain the very essence of the distilled wisdom of all ages.

Don’t cross your bridges until you come to them.

If we applied most of the old proverbs, we would lead almost perfect lives.

However, knowledge isn’t power until it is applied.

The Feel Good Factor!

Each day focus on feeling good within yourself and regarding yourself.

This vital process begins with ensuring that you only focus on positive thoughts and your desires.

Eliminate and regard all negative thoughts as the devil, only focusing on those things that you love and desire.

The hardest part is bound to be trying to avoid all the negative influences around you.

As somenone once said, a good starting point would be to avoid watching or listening to the news, as well as abstaining from reading any newspapers.

Another incredible challenge would be to try and go through one day without being critical or judgmental and complaining.

If you can do this, it will be quite remarkable and represents a great start.

Best of luck!

Reflect on the Positive and Good

Take Time to Reflect on the Positive and Good

At the end of each day, it is highly beneficial to reflect on the good things which occured during the day.

The inclination in this negative world of ours is to reflect in an ungrateful manner, forever complaining about things that didn’t quite go your way, and finding fault with other people, criticizing people no end.

This leads to a vicious circle where the more you complain, the more likely it is that more bad and unfortunate things come into your life.

Therefore, you need to break this vicious circle as soon as possible.

In order to help you switch to a more positive approach to life, let’s see if tomorrow, just for one day, you can go through one little day without saying anything negative or nasty about people and life in general.

I can tell you that this will be almightily difficult, given our natural tendencies and negative influences in our lives. But at least it will make you aware of how often we, or other people are inclined to criticize, complain and find fault in this world of ours, no matter how favourable our situation might appear to be to the impartial observer.

It is something worth persevering with, as although remarkably difficult, the rewards are well worth-while, as you will no doubt feel so much better having snapped out of this negative and destructive habit.

Always at the end of each day, remember to take time to reflect on the good things which occured in your life during the day.

Faith and Belief!

Faith and Belief

Having read countless number of books on self-help and positive thinking, what I’ve discovered is that in one’s effort to implement the philosophies contained within the covers, one of the hardest things to do is to generate and maintain great faith and belief that you can realise and fulfill your dreams and goals.

Having faith and belief is easier said than done and it is something you have to work on constantly, 24/7, every minute of the day.

The process required, so the experts tell me, is quite similar to the process we all engage in when worrying about an unfavourable outcome. Only instead focus on a desirable outcome and imagine with great emotion, ‘what if’ and ‘suppose such and such happens in my life!’

As you can well imagine I’m sure, playing this kind of make believe, or what was known as ‘the glad game’ in one of Disney’s films can be a great deal of fun, and surprisingly highly productive.

So, why don’t you go right ahead? What have you got to lose? You might even surprise yourself!

Value of a Blueprint and Statements of Intent

The Value of a Blueprint and Statements of Intent

Quite often despite one being positive and full of good intentions for the day ahead, unless you have an overall blueprint containing goals and dreams, with daily statements of intent, you can end up going around in circles, and really not achieving much by the end of the day.

It is an all too common tendency to focus on too many things and trying to get too many things accomplished in a single day, with the resulting factor that you feel inadequate and a failure, given that you don’t accomplish much and seem to be very much in a spin or tizz, chasing your tail.

The first task, just like building a house is to create a blueprint or plan outlining what you want to achieve in life and what ventures to focus on in order to get there. Preferably your dream job or business venture should revolve around your passions, interests and hobbies.

By doing this, it will not seem like work and you will enjoy every minute of your life, as well as increasing exponentially your chance of future success, fulfillment and self-esteem.

Outlining short term and long term targets should help to keep you focused and on track.

Then you need daily statements of intent, which you can think about and create the previous night, with regards to what are the most important things that you should be trying to accomplish the following day, which will compliment your dreams and goals.

Don’t try and do too much in a single day and certainly try and enjoy the challenges, goals and indeed every minute of each day.

By having a few daily statements of intent, this will keep you focused on the most important tasks, and importantly help to prevent you being distracted, deviating from your goals, possibly wasting time on social media or wasting time talking to negative people.

As you take this approach on a daily, weekly basis, you will no doubt be surprised how much more you accomplish, and how much better you feel about your endeavours, and indeed life in general.

Don’t Try and Force the Situation!

Don’t Try and Force the Situation

Having set one’s dreams and goals, there is a natural tendency to get too anxious and try and force the situation by trying too hard. As strange as it is to believe this can have the opposite effect and in fact slow progress, leading to great frustration and a distinct loss of confidence and faith.

Once you’ve set your goal and visualised your ideal situation, it is not your job to try and force the issue and bring this ideal scenario into being.

Your task is to relax and have faith that deep down the process of realising your dream and goals is proceeding courtesy of the automatic success system.

Very much in the same way as you naturally do when you worry about an unfavourable outcome, substitute this for a focusing on the possibility of a favourable outcome.

Basically you need to stay focused, relax and have faith that your goal will reach fruition.
